T he Levites were numbered from thirty years old and upward; and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty-eight thousand.

وَأحْصَى عَدَدَ الَّلاوِيِّينَ الَّذِينَ تَبلُغُ أعمارُهُمْ ثَلاثِينَ سَنَةً فَما فَوْقُ. فَبَلَغَ عَدَدُهُمْ ثَمانِيَةً وَثَلاثِينَ ألفَ رَجُلٍ.
