J oab said, “May Yahweh make his people a hundred times as many as they are. But, my lord the king, aren’t they all my lord’s servants? Why does my lord require this thing? Why will he be a cause of guilt to Israel?”

Pero Joab dijo: Añada el Señor a su pueblo cien veces más de lo que son. Mas, oh rey, señor mío, ¿no son todos ellos siervos de mi señor? ¿Por qué procura esto mi señor? ¿Por qué ha de ser él motivo de culpa para Israel?
