D avid lifted up his eyes, and saw Yahweh’s angel standing between earth and the sky, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell on their faces.

David alzó sus ojos y vio al ángel del Señor que estaba entre la tierra y el cielo, con una espada desenvainada en su mano, extendida sobre Jerusalén. Entonces David y los ancianos, vestidos de cilicio, cayeron sobre sus rostros.
