G od sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it. As he was about to destroy, Yahweh saw, and he relented of the disaster, and said to the destroying angel, “It is enough. Now withdraw your hand.” Yahweh’s angel was standing by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

El Señor envió al ángel a Jerusalén, para que la destruyera; pero cuando el Señor lo vio destruirla, le pesó haberle enviado ese mal y le dijo al ángel destructor: «¡Basta ya! ¡Detente!» En ese momento el ángel del Señor estaba junto a la era de Ornán el jebuseo.
