T he children of Israel secretly did things that were not right against Yahweh their God; and they built high places for themselves in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fortified city;

Israeliţii au făcut pe ascuns împotriva Domnului, Dumnezeul lor, fapte care nu erau drepte. Ei şi-au zidit înălţimi în toate cetăţile lor, de la turnurile străjerilor până la cetăţile fortificate.
