P haraoh king of Egypt had gone up, taken Gezer, burnt it with fire, killed the Canaanites who lived in the city, and given it for a wedding gift to his daughter, Solomon’s wife.

Il faraone, re d’Egitto, era salito a impadronirsi di Ghezer, l’aveva data alle fiamme e aveva ucciso i Cananei che abitavano la città; poi l’aveva data per dote a sua figlia, moglie di Salomone.
