H e made houses of high places, and made priests from among all the people, who were not of the sons of Levi.

وَبَنَى يَرُبْعامُ أيضاً هَياكِلَ فِي المُرتَفَعاتِ. وَاختارَ كَهَنَةً مِنْ مُختَلَفِ قَبائِلِ إسْرائِيلَ، فَلَمْ يَقتَصِرْ عَلَى قَبِيلَةِ لاوِي.
