J oab fell to the ground on his face, showed respect, and blessed the king. Joab said, “Today your servant knows that I have found favor in your sight, my lord, king, in that the king has performed the request of his servant.”

Allora Joab si gettò con la faccia a terra, si prostrò e benedisse il re. Poi Joab disse: «Oggi il tuo servo riconosce di aver trovato grazia ai tuoi occhi o re, mio signore, perché il re ha fatto ciò che il suo servo ha chiesto».
