D avid sent and inquired after the woman. One said, “Isn’t this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, Uriah the Hittite’s wife?”

فَاسْتَدْعى داود ضُبّاطَهُ وسألَهُم مَنْ تَكونُ هَذِهِ المَرْأةُ. فأجابَهُ أحَدُهُم: «تِلْكَ المَرْأةُ هيَ بَثْشَبَعُ بِنتُ ألِيعامَ. إنَّها زَوْجَةُ أُورِيّا الحِثّي.»
