J oseph made it a statute concerning the land of Egypt to this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth. Only the land of the priests alone didn’t become Pharaoh’s.

Joseph fit de cela une loi, qui a subsisté jusqu'à ce jour, et d'après laquelle un cinquième du revenu des terres de l'Égypte appartient à Pharaon; il n'y a que les terres des prêtres qui ne soient point à Pharaon.
