T he herdsmen of Gerar argued with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” He called the name of the well Esek, because they contended with him.

Mas os pastores de Gerar discutiram com os pastores de Isaque, dizendo: “A água é nossa!” Por isso Isaque deu ao poço o nome de Eseque, porque discutiram por causa dele.
