C ả Y-sơ-ra-ên, các trưởng lão, các quan cai, và các quan xét đứng hai bên hòm trước mặt những thầy tế lễ, người Lê-vi, là người khiêng hòm giao ước ủa Đức Giê-hô-va. Những khách lạ luôn với dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đều có mặt tại đó, phân nửa này ở về phía núi Ga-ri-xim, và phân nửa kia ở về phía núi Ê-banh, tùy theo lịnh mà Môi-se, tôi tớ của Đức Giê-hô-va, trước đã truyền cho chúc phước dân Y-sơ-ra-ên.

And all Israel, and their elders and officers, and their judges, stood on this side of the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, that bare the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, as well the sojourner as the homeborn; half of them in front of mount Gerizim, and half of them in front of mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of Jehovah had commanded at the first, that they should bless the people of Israel.
