N hững thầy tế lễ khiêng hòm đều đứng giữa sông Giô-đanh cho đến chừng nào đã làm xong mọi việc mà Đức Giê-hô-va đã dặn biểu Giô-suê truyền lại cho dân sự, theo mạng lịnh mà Môi-se đã truyền cho Giô-suê. Dân sự bèn lật đật đi qua sông.
