Đ oạn, Môi-se gọi Giô-suê, nói cùng người tại trước mặt cả Y-sơ-ra-ên mà rằng: Hãy vừng lòng bền chí; vì ngươi sẽ vào với dân nầy trong xứ mà Đức Giê-hô-va đã thề ban cho tổ phụ họ, và ngươi sẽ chia xứ cho họ.

And Moses called to Joshua, and said to him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and courageous, for thou must go with this people into the land which Jehovah hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.
