n ay tôi lại mừng, không phải mừng về sự anh em đã phải buồn rầu, song mừng về sự buồn rầu làm cho anh em sanh lòng hối cải. Thật, anh em đã buồn rầu theo ý Đức Chúa Trời, đến nỗi chưa chịu thiệt hại bởi chúng tôi chút nào.

Agora, porém, me alegro, não porque vocês foram entristecidos, mas porque a tristeza os levou ao arrependimento. Pois vocês se entristeceram como Deus desejava, e de forma alguma foram prejudicados por nossa causa.
