S au-lơ vốn ưng thuận về sự Ê-tiên bị giết. Trong lúc đó, Hội thánh ở thành Giê-ru-sa-lem gặp cơn bắt bớ đữ tợn; trừ ra các sứ đồ, còn hết thảy tín đồ đều phải chạy tan lạc trong các miền Giu-đê và xứ Sa-ma-ri.

And Saul was consenting to death '> pleased and entirely approving]. On that day a great and severe persecution broke out against the church which was in Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles (special messengers).
