N ầy, nó như sư tử lên từ các rừng rậm rạp của Giô-đanh mà nghịch cùng chỗ ở kiên cố. Thình lình ta sẽ làm cho Ê-đôm trốn khỏi, và ta sẽ lập người mà ta đã chọn để cai trị nó: vì ai giống như ta? ai sẽ định kỳ cho ta? có kẻ chăn nào sẽ đứng trước mặt ta?

Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of the Jordan against the strong habitation; for I will make them suddenly run away from it; and who is a chosen whom I shall appoint over her? For who is like me? and who will assign me a time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?
