G iê-rê-mi bèn lấy một cuốn khác đưa cho thơ ký Ba-rúc, con trai Nê-ri-gia; Ba-rúc cứ miệng Giê-rê-mi mà chép lại mọi lời trong cuốn mà Giê-hô-gia-kim, vua Giu-đa, đã đốt đi trong lửa. Có nhiều lời giống nhau đã thêm vào đó.

Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.
