V ậy có lời Chúa, là Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, phán như vầy: Hỡi dân ta, ngươi ở tại Si-ôn, chớ sợ người A-si-ri, dầu họ lấy roi đánh ngươi và giá gậy trên ngươi theo cách người Ê-díp-tô.

Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
