B ấy giờ, dân sự đều nhóm hiệp như thể một người, tại phố ở trước cửa Nước. Chúng nói với E-xơ-ra là thầy thông giáo, xin người đem quyển sách luật pháp của Môi-se mà Đức Giê-hô-va đã truyền dạy cho Y-sơ-ra-ên.

Then all the people gathered together as one man in the broad place before the Water Gate; and they asked Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which the Lord had given to Israel.
