A áy vậy vua Rô-bô-am làm cho mình ra bền vững trong Giê-ru-sa-lem và trị vì. Vả khi Rô-bô-am lên ngôi, tuổi đã bốn mươi mốt; người cai trị mười bảy năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem, tức là thành mà Đức Giê-hô-va đã chọn trong các chi phái Y-sơ-ra-ên, đặng đặt danh Ngài tại đó; còn mẹ người tên là Na -a-ma, người đàn bà Am-môn.

So King Rehoboam established and strengthened himself in Jerusalem and reigned. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city in which the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel to put His Name. His mother was Naamah an Ammonitess.
