I Sử Ký 21:17 ~ 1 Chronicles 21:17

Đ a-vít thưa cùng Đức Chúa Trời rằng: Há chẳng phải tôi đã truyền lấy số dân sao? Aáy là tôi đã phạm tội và làm điều ác; còn các con chiên kia, đã làm chi? Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời tôi ôi! xin tay Chúa hãy đánh hại tôi và nhà cha tôi; nhưng chớ giáng ôn dịch trên dân sự của Chúa mà hành hại nó.

And David said unto God, Is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done very wickedly; but these sheep, what have they done? let thy hand, I pray thee, O Jehovah my God, be against me, and against my father's house; but not against thy people, that they should be plagued.
