C ó người đến thuật cho Sa-lô-môn hay điều đó, rằng: Nầy, A-đô-ni-gia sợ vua Sa-lô-môn; kìa người đã nắm các sừng bàn thờ, mà nói rằng: Hôm nay, vua Sa-lô-môn hãy thề với tôi rằng vua sẽ không giết đầy tớ người bằng gươm.

Solomon was told, “Behold, Adonijah fears king Solomon; for, behold, he is hanging onto the horns of the altar, saying, ‘Let king Solomon swear to me first that he will not kill his servant with the sword.’”
