V ua hỏi: Có phải Giô-áp đã đặt tay vào mọi điều đó chăng? Người đờn bà thưa rằng: Vua chúa tôi ôi, tôi chỉ mạng sống của vua mà thề, người ta không thế xít qua bên hữu hoặc bên tả, đặng khỏi điều vua chúa tôi mới nói đó. Phải, ấy là Giô-áp, tôi tớ của vua, đã truyền lịnh cho tôi, và để các lời nầy trong miệng con đòi vua.

And the king said, Is the hand of Joab with thee in all this? And the woman answered and said, thy soul liveth, my lord, O king, there is no turning to the right hand or to the left from aught that my lord the king has spoken; for thy servant Joab, he bade me, and he put all these words into the mouth of thy bondmaid:
