щ о морем послів посилаєш на човнах папірусових по поверхні води! Ідіть, скороходні посли, до народу високого й блискучезбройного, до народу страшного віддавна й аж досі, до люду пресильного, що топче усе, що річки його землю поперетинали.

that sendest ambassadors over the sea, and in vessels of papyrus upon the waters, Go, swift messengers, to a nation scattered and ravaged, to a people terrible from their existence and thenceforth; to a nation of continued waiting and of treading down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
