б о вони не стріли були Ізраїлевих синів хлібом та водою, і найняли були на нього Валаама проклясти його, та Бог наш обернув те прокляття на благословення.

It was because they did not meet the sons of Israel with food and water, but paid Balaam to curse them. Yet our God turned the curse into good.
