Т аким был надел рода Манассии как первенца Иосифа. Махиру, первенцу Манассии, предку галаадитян, были выделены Галаад и Башан, потому что махириты были храбрыми воинами.

This was the share of land given to the family of Manasseh, the first-born of Joseph. Gilead and Bashan were given to Machir, the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead, because he was a man of war.
