О н не дал ему здесь никакого наследия, не дал земли даже на ширину ступни. Но Бог обещал дать эту землю во владение ему и его потомству, хотя в то время у Авраама не было ребенка.

Yet He gave him no inheritable property in it, not even enough ground to set his foot on; but He promised that He would give it to Him for a permanent possession and to his descendants after him, even though he had no child.
