Т огда к народу вышел один из начальников города. Он успокоил их и сказал: – Эфесяне, разве не известно всему миру, что город Эфес является хранителем храма великой Артемиды и упавшего с небес ее изображения?

And the townclerk, having quieted the crowd, said, Ephesians, what man is there then who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is temple-keeper of Artemis the great, and of the which fell down from heaven?
