И удей Мардохей был вторым после царя Ксеркса; он был велик среди иудеев, и множество соплеменников глубоко чтило его, потому что он трудился на благо своего народа и говорил ради благополучия всех иудеев.

For Mordecai the Jew was second to king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the welfare of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
