Ц арь Ассирии исполнил его просьбу, напав на Дамаск и взяв его. Он увел его жителей в плен в Кир, а Рецина предал смерти. Ахаз перестраивает храм (2 Пар. 28: 23-25)

And the king of Assyria hearkened to him; and the king of Assyria went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried it captive to Kir, and put Rezin to death.
