M arkaasay dadkii oo dhammu yimaadeen oo damceen inay Daa'uud wax cunsiiyaan intii ay maalinnimada ahayd; laakiinse Daa'uud wuu dhaartay, oo yidhi, Ilaah taasoo kale ha igu sameeyo, iyo weliba tu ka sii badan, haddaan kibis dhadhansho, iyo wax kale toona, ilaa ay qorraxdu dhacdo.

Then all the people came to try to talk David into eating bread while it was still day. But David promised, saying, “May God do so to me, and more also, if I taste bread or anything else before the sun goes down.”
