E ntonces dijo Saúl a su escudero: «Saca tu espada y traspásame con ella, para que no vengan estos incircuncisos a traspasarme y burlarse de mí.» Pero su escudero no quería, pues tenía gran temor. Tomó entonces Saúl su propia espada y se echó sobre ella.

Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
