A l rey de Hai lo colgó de un madero hasta caer la noche, y cuando el sol se puso, mandó Josué que quitaran del madero su cuerpo y lo echaran a la puerta de la ciudad. Luego levantaron sobre él un gran montón de piedras, que permanece hasta hoy. Lectura de la Ley en el monte Ebal

And he hanged the king of Ai on a tree until evening; and at sunset, Joshua commanded and they took the body down from the tree and cast it at the entrance of the city gate and raised a great heap of stones over it that is there to this day.
