V inieron luego, en efecto, todos los jefes a Jeremías y lo interrogaron. Él les respondió conforme a todo lo que el rey le había mandado. Con esto se alejaron de él, porque el asunto había sido oído.

Then came all the princes to Jeremiah and asked him, and he told them all that the king had commanded. So they left off speaking with him, for what the conversation had been was not discovered.
