S emejante a una gacela es mi amado; como un joven cervatillo. Helo aquí, está tras nuestra pared, mirando por las ventanas, atisbando por las celosías.

كَالغَزالِ أوْ كَمُهرِ الظَّبيِ حَبِيبِي. ها هُوَ واقِفٌ عَلَى الجّانِبِ الآخَرِ مِنْ حائِطِنا. مِنَ النّافِذَةِ يُحَدِّقُ، وَمِنَ الشُّباكِ يَستَرِقُ النَظَرَ.
