M oisés extendió su mano sobre el mar, e hizo Jehová que el mar se retirara por medio de un recio viento oriental que sopló toda aquella noche. Así se secó el mar y las aguas quedaron divididas.

And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and Jehovah caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
