P ero Jehová no quiso destruir la casa de David, a causa del pacto que había hecho con David, y porque le había dicho que le daría una lámpara a él y a sus hijos perpetuamente.

Howbeit the Lord would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever.
