A l año siguiente, en el tiempo en que suelen los reyes salir a la guerra, Joab sacó las fuerzas del ejército y destruyó la tierra de los amonitas. Luego fue y sitió a Rabá, mientras David estaba en Jerusalén. Joab atacó a Rabá y la destruyó.

¶ And it came to pass, that after the year was expired, at the time that kings go out to battle, Joab led forth the power of the army and destroyed the country of the sons of Ammon and came and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried at Jerusalem. And Joab smote Rabbah and destroyed it.
