E ntonces Ezequías, rey de Judá, envió a decir al rey de Asiria que estaba en Laquis: «He pecado; retírate de mi país y aceptaré todo lo que me impongas.» El rey de Asiria impuso a Ezequías, rey de Judá, trescientos talentos de plata, y treinta talentos de oro.

Then Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria at Lachish, saying, I have done wrong. Depart from me; what you put on me I will bear. And the king of Assyria exacted of Hezekiah king of Judah 300 talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.
