P ero Jehová tuvo misericordia y se compadeció de ellos; se volvió hacia ellos a causa de su pacto con Abraham, Isaac y Jacob, y no quiso destruirlos ni echarlos de delante de su presencia hasta hoy.

But the Lord showed them kindness and loving-pity and turned to them because of His agreement with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He would not destroy them or put them away from Him until now.
