E ntonces el rey de Israel llamó a todos los ancianos del país y les dijo: —Fijaos y ved ahora cómo éste no busca sino el mal; pues me ha mandado pedir mis mujeres y mis hijos, mi plata y mi oro, y yo no se lo he negado.

So the king of Israel called all the elders of the land, and said, “Notice, please, and see how this man seeks trouble, for he sent to me for my wives, my children, my silver, and my gold; and I did not deny him.”
