¡ Ya tengo ochenta años de edad! ¿Puedo distinguir entre lo que es agradable y lo que no lo es? ¿Gustará ahora tu siervo de lo que coma o beba? ¿Oirá aún la voz de los cantores y de las cantoras? ¿Por qué, pues, ha de ser tu siervo una carga para mi señor, el rey?

I am this day eighty years old: can I discern between good and bad? can thy servant taste what I eat and what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? and why should thy servant be yet a burden to my lord the king?
