E ntonces el secretario de la ciudad, cuando había apaciguado a la multitud, dijo: Varones efesios, ¿pues quién es el hombre que no sabe que la ciudad de los efesios es guardiana del templo de la gran diosa Diana, y de la imagen caída del cielo?

After quieting the crowd, the town clerk said, “Men of Ephesus, what man is there after all who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is guardian of the temple of the great Artemis and of the image which fell down from heaven?
