P ero aquellos hombres se reunieron apresuradamente ante el rey y le dijeron: Ya sabes, oh rey, que según la ley de Media y de Persia, ningún edicto u ordenanza que el rey confirme puede ser abrogado.

Then these men assembled together to the king, and said to the king, Know, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians, that no decree nor statute which the king establishes may be changed.
