T omó luego Jacob varas verdes de álamo, de avellano y de castaño, y descortezó en ellas mondaduras blancas, descubriendo así lo blanco de las varas.

Jacob took to himself rods of fresh poplar, almond, plane tree, peeled white streaks in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.
