D e pronto, Saúl tomó la lanza y la arrojó, con la intención de atravesar con ella a David, pero éste la esquivó y la lanza quedó clavada en la pared. Esa misma noche David escapó de morir y huyó.

And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin: but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, and he smote the javelin into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night.
