y le hizo un voto. Le dijo: «Señor de los ejércitos, si te dignas mirar la aflicción de esta sierva tuya, y te acuerdas de mí y me das un hijo varón, yo te lo dedicaré, Señor, para toda su vida. Yo te prometo que jamás la navaja rozará su cabeza.»

And she vowed a vow, and said, O Jehovah of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thy handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thy handmaid, but wilt give unto thy handmaid a man child, then I will give him to Jehovah all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.
