E ntonces Gaal hijo de Ebed dijo: «¿Y quién es Abimelec, y qué tan importante es Siquén, para que seamos sus sirvientes? ¿Acaso no es hijo de Yerubaal? ¿Y acaso no es Zebul su ayudante? Sirvan, si quieren, a los varones de Jamor, el padre de Siquén; pero ¿por qué vamos a servir a Abimelec?

Then Gaal the son of Ebed said, “Who is Abimelech, and who is Shechem, that we should serve him? Is he not the son of Jerubbaal, and is Zebul not his lieutenant? Serve the men of Hamor the father of Shechem; but why should we serve him?
