S us padres no sabían que esto era un plan del Señor, y que él buscaba un pretexto para atacar a los filisteos, que en aquel tiempo dominaban a Israel.

His father and mother did not know that it was the Lord’s leading. For He was planning a way to go against the Philistines. At that time the Philistines were ruling over Israel.
